 You know that feeling in your gut before a big competition? Does it ever make you feel like you’re physically ill? Does it start weeks, or even months, before your competition? Yeah, I know that feeling too. This type of anxiety can be absolutely detrimental during a competition. Some level of anxiety can be helpful to our performance, but at some point it gets to be just too much. It happens with every kind of sport and it’s completely normal—and manageable. Through techniques like:

  • mindfulness

  • guided muscle relaxation

  • visualization

  • Psycho-education
